Apple has recently reached an impressive milestone – 50 billion app downloads from its App Store! They even gave away some impressive prizes as part of the achievement; the person that downloaded the 50 billionth app – an American named Brandon Ashmore from Ohio, received a mind-blowing $10,000 (£6,400) gift card for the App Store, with the next 50 downloaders each receiving a rather generous $500 (£322) gift card, also for use on the App Store. Truth is, mobile phones have really taken over the technology industry and has also contributed to a huge influx of employment opportunities for app and game developers. It really is mind boggling just how huge the app market has grown over the last few years.
